“I hope it doesn’t end the same way for him as it did for Rodgers” – Charlie Nicholas hysterical Postecoglou ‘warning’ over ‘losing’ key men

Janefield Street

Looks like the hysteria continues in the media over Celtic acting like a club with a, (what is it *Rangers have been getting lauded over at Ibrox for again?) player trading model. That’s it right?

Celtic have been doing this for decades now and it has worked very well for us. The club in Govan sell their only two assets and they have cracked it.

But what I didn’t hear at the time when those players were sold was the Ibrox managers position being questioned at the time.

So quite why Charlie Nicholas [Scottish Daily Express via Daily Record] has gone down this route is very bizarre. So let’s take a look:

“I am concerned with what is happening on the contract front with Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis at Celtic – and even more so if Ange Postecoglou isn’t involved in the decisions.

Considering Ange warned way back in the AGM that players will be leaving the club, I think he is very much in the loop.

“Both are big players, so it’s alarming they could be sold by the club if neither are able to agree new deals. Players come and go, I get it, but the bigger picture worries me. What does Postecoglou really think about losing two of his key men?

I refer back to my earlier point. Ange TOLD US players would be leaving.

“Brendan Rodgers left the Parkhead managerial hotseat in 2019 because he wasn’t happy with the way things were going.

Because team affairs were being interfered with from those that had no business to. There is no suggestion this has, or ever will happen.

“I can’t see Postecoglou taking any nonsense from the hierarchy, so I hope it doesn’t end the same way for him as it did for Rodgers.

It won’t. Ange has a plan and has said on numerous occasions that he won’t deviate from it.

“I just hope the Australian has a say in these calls on his players’ futures and that they aren’t being made by others.”

Again, I refer back to my first point. ANGE TOLD US PLAYERS WILL BE LEAVING.

Something tells me Nicholas is trying to stir the pot with this p*sh with the recent Peter Lawwell announcement. The bandwagon has been well and truly jumped on by Charlie here.
