“He has barely given him a chance” – Alex McLeish makes bizarre Postecoglou claim

Celtic will be looking to get rid of the excess players on the wage bill this summer.

Of that there is no doubt.

But one player that could have had a future at the club had he not went public with his unhappiness at his Celtic situation is Chris Jullien.

The big Frenchman made the mistake at taking a swipe at Ange for his lack of game time in an interview that ultimately seems to have ended his hoops career.

But former Rangers manager Alex McLeish seems to to hold a different opinion.

He seems to think that it’s the Celtic manager who is engineering a move for Jullien in a bizarre interview.

Speaking to Football Insider, McLeish said, “For me, everything is down to the manager and what he has seen from Jullien during his time at the club.

“If he does not see a place for him then he has no option but to sell him and get as much money as you can.

“You need money in the coffers or you have it available to spend on somebody else.

“Postecoglou has proven to be quite shrewd up until now and perhaps this is another move he is engineering.

“He has barely given him a chance so he clearly doesn’t have him in his plans for next season.”

Quite where he gets this is beyond me. I think Ange would have preferred to keep him had he just got his head down and worked for the team instead of going public about his unhappiness.

Only one person has engineered this move. It’s not Ange.

  1. You slag the guy off yet can’t help but write article after article about the guff he comes out with. Would it not be better to just ignore the fud? Or is this just another hack clickbait site after all?
