£2m bid placed for SPFL star. Are Celtic missing a trick?

Match Day Celtic Park

With Celtic reportedly looking to add a central midfielder to their ranks, it seems the scouts at the club are scouring the globe to get Ange Postecoglou the man he needs.

From Brazil to Central Europe, there is no stone left being unturned to find the right man but is he a bit closer to home?

In fact, the player we need could be right under our noses.

Lewis Ferguson of Aberdeen.

The midfielder has been the subject of a £2m bid according to The Herald.

Millwall are said to be the club that made the offer that The Dons rejected and there are four other clubs said to be interested.

Capped at international level, the midfielder scored 16 times for Aberdeen last season and considering the club was flirting with relegation, that is impressive numbers for a midfielder.

Full of energy and solid in the middle of the park, he would not only suit Ange’s dynamic style but offer some much needed steel in the engine room. And he knows the Scottish game.

He won’t go for much more than £2m I would imagine so would he be worth a punt?
