“Whether he could have the same impact as Moussa Dembele” – Journalist makes exciting transfer target comparison

Lisbon Lions Stand, Celtic Park

It’s not very often Celtic transfer targets get compared to former players.

Well, at least the players of Moussa Demebele’s pedigree anyway.

The big Frenchman was adored by the Hoops fans and was regular skelper of the club from Govan.

But it looks like Celtic could be interested in a player who Pete O’Rourke reckons could be a carbon copy of big Moussa.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, O’Rourke said, “He’s [Antoine Semenyo] done well at Bristol City, whether he could have the same impact as Moussa Dembele had when he arrived from Fulham, that’s up for debate because Dembele was a real top signing for Celtic when they did get him.

“He showed that with his goals under Brendan Rodgers that helped them win so many trophies and also played in the Champions League as well.

“So, I think Semenyo does look a good player, and if Celtic could land him, I think it could be a good piece of business.”

That is high praise indeed for anyone connected to the club but with prices of £15m being quoted for Semenyo, it does look like that move could be too expensive for the Parkhead board.
