To be fair to Tom, he can’t win. And sometimes I bet he feels he really shouldn’t bother.
But with his latest history of Celtic tweets it may have been advisable for the veteran BBC pundit to maybe have sat this one out.
But alas, he didn’t. And after Scotland’s 2-2 draw with Austria, Tom decided to tweet this last night:
Now, at first glance, it does look like he is raking over old coals here and trying to stir the pot, but it does seem that he is taking the proverbial out of himself as he did once claim this:
I’ve replied to a bunch of people on this. But I’ll do it again since you asked so nicely…McGinn, in my opinion, wouldn’t get in the Celtic team. £1.5m is reasonable, but I’m glad that Hibs, for Hibs sake, turned it down

But it seems some fans didn’t quite get it, or they did, and decided to rinse him anyway:
had a shocker here Tom 😂🙈 pic.twitter.com/7zCQEePZxD

As Demetria “Demi” Lovato famously chanted in 2014, you simply must “Let It Go”

Oh look, @TEnglishSport with something negative to say about Celtic!

But on a serious note, it is time to let the McGinn story go. It has been three years and Celtic have a much settled team with a lot going on in the domestic front.
Like Hamish said, ‘Let it go.’
