September was a poor month for Celtic. Not only was the club just beginning it’s rebuild for the season ahead, but we had just lost 4-3 and 4-0 in the Europa League against Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen respectively, drew with Dundee United 1-1 at Celtic Park and lost to Livingston 1-0 away.
The only saving grace was a 3-0 cup win against Raith Rovers and a 3-0 league win against Ross County.
But it was the 1-0 loss to Livingston that prompted this idiotic tweet from a bookies firm that was roundly jumped on by Sevco fans:
But sitting at the top of the league, one trophy already in the cabinet and going for another treble, it seems this particular jumped the gun here.
Now we all know the purpose of these tweets. They all do it. Bookie firms jump on the form of a big team, tweet something negative and fans bite.
As do their rivals. But in this case, the tweet seems to have popped up on some Celtic fans timelines on twitter and they took great delight in reminding those that were quick to judge Ange just how it’s came good for the Hoops:
