“The worry for Celtic” – Pete O’Rourke makes loan stars permanent transfer claim

Celtic are clearly in the market to strengthen the squad and with the transfer rumour mill in full swing the fans are going to busy keeping up with all the latest news.

With the Hoops already securing three major signatures the focus now seems to be on sealing the deal for two loanee’s Jota and Cameron Carter Vickers and making them permanent additions to the Paradise squad.

Trusted journalist, Pete O’Rourke, has warned that it may not be as simple as Celtic paying the going rate for Cameron Carter Vickers as long as the big American continues to impress.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, O’Rourke said, “The worry for Celtic is if Carter-Vickers continues to impress up at Celtic Park, that might bring other clubs to the table to try to sign the American in the summer.”

The positives that Celtic have on their side is CCV is wanted at the club and by all accounts, he wishes to remain in Glasgow.

He has also had the taste of winning silverware and to most footballers, that is what drives them on in the game.

CCV seems that type of professional as he could have easily sat in Spurs reserves and picked up his pay.

He has found a home in Glasgow. It’s time Celtic made it his permanently.
