Celtic midfielder, Tom Rogic, has been backed for a career revival under new boss Ange Postecoglou. Rogic has been a bit part player at Celtic for the Hoops in the last two season with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.

Rogic has a special place in Celtic fans hearts as he scored the goal in the 2017 Scottish Cup Final to secure the teams first of four unprecedented Trebles.

Rogic has been hampered with a persistent knee injury since 2017 and received surgery late into the 2018/19 season to try to correct the problem, but a recurrence in May of that season has caused the midfielder’s career with the Hoops to stall. Up until now.

Former Aston Villa forward Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped the big Aussie to make a comeback under Postecoglou and he believes he will flourish under his former international gaffer, “If you’re Rogic, then he’s the perfect manager that you want to come and resurrect your Celtic career.

“He’ll know exactly the best position to play him in and how to get the best out of him.

“We’ll probably see a better Rogic and one that plays more in the team next season.”

Rogic has been been giving his Parkhead team mates the low down on Postecoglou as winger, James Forrest, revealed on the Celtic FC website, ‘Tom’s said really good things about the new manager. He worked with him at the Australian national team, and he said that he’s very good and that a lot of players speak highly of him.’

If there is one player you would love to see stick around and you were guaranteed to improve under the new manager, it’s Rogic. Celtic fans love the big man when he is on form. He is unplayable and one of the best attacking threats when he is on his game.
