“Get it up ye!” – Jason Cundy sent a message after Celtic’s Champions League win

Celtic’s win over Feyenoord just proves that when Brendan Rodgers puts his mind to it, he can conjure a Champions League result from nothing.

Now, I don’t want to hear that this game meant nothing. It did. If you look at how Celtic and Feyenoord both approached this match, you will see just how much both teams wanted to win this game.

But the result not only shut up the Rangers fans who seem to think they are Scotland’s European saviours. It also shuts those big mouths up at TalkSport.

That radio station loves to put the boot into Celtic whenever the opportunity presents itself and one presenter, Jason Cundy was sent a message after his latest Celtic rant.

Paul John Dykes fired a response to Cundy after he took a weird potshot at us after Manchester United got hoofed out of the Champions League on Tuesday and Dykes did not miss.

Dykes said (A Celtic State of Mind), “Gustaf Lagerbielke has done wonders for my state of mind.

“The big man, written off, sent off, told he wasn’t good enough, told he wasn’t fast enough.

“Somebody at Celtic Park had the audacity to have Underworld’s Born Slippy ready to push the button when the big man scored the winning goal.

“How refreshing is this? I’m going to tell you, there’s two people I want to shout out tonight. First one, Jason Cundy get it up ye!

“Second one, Patrick McGilp, this is the first time in a decade that Patrick, a Celtic season ticket holder, and an ACSOM contributor has seen Celtic winning a Champions League game at home.

“Look at the players on the park after that game embracing and you tell me that was a dead rubber and that meant nothing.

“Get it up ye, Jason!”

And so say all of the Celtic support! It was a great night for Celtic last night as they ended the 10-year-hoodoo of being unable to win in Europe’s top competition.

That’s over now and it’s time for Brendan Rodgers to kick on and get this team firing on all cylinders.
