Match Day Celtic Park

Paranoid Rangers fans on Follow Follow’s bizarre Celtic Glasgow Derby conspiracy theory

In less than five days time, Rangers visit Celtic Park for the big Glasgow Derby.

Celtic will be feeling confident heading into the game after scoring seven goals in their last two wins.

Rangers’ luck continues as VAR offers them another helping hand this Christmas after Motherwell were denied a stonewall penalty at Ibrox.

It’s not the first time VAR has helped out Rangers in a crisis this season as the video referee appears to miss plenty of Celtic decisions.

But somehow, rather weirdly, Rangers fans on Follow Follow have cooked up yet another bizarre Celtic conspiracy theory in the run up to the big game.

Rangers fans cook up weird Celtic, VAR, referee Glasgow Derby conspiracy

Yeah, you read that correctly. Despite the vast number of patterns of assistance the Ibrox club have a had not just this season, but over years, it’s Celtic who the referees favour in the Glasgow Derby.

First up, it’s Celtic fan media who are the problem:

A forum post discussing fan opinions and media reactions regarding a controversial penalty decision in a recent football match.

The next guy thinks he’s in a Shakespeare forum while forgetting a Liam Scales handball against Hibs.

A profile picture of a person with curly hair and a beard, alongside a comment discussing a sports penalty decision.

The ref is in Celtic’s pocket now:

A digital illustration of a muscular cartoon character with a blue background, wearing a tank top and shorts, flexing their biceps.

The next moonhowler either has dementia or is a compulsive liar:

A user comment discussing past decisions and expectations for upcoming events in a sports context.

And as for the final paranoid Rangers fan, he needs to seek help:

User comment discussing anticipation for a scoring event in sports.

This is the the sort of gaslighting this lot are up to. Decades of Rangers supporting referees handing out many favourable decisions appears to have been wiped from their memory.

We all know why. The advent of VAR has made it extremely difficult for clearly biased refereeing decisions to go in their favour, however, Celtic fans have still seen plenty of ‘honest mistakes’.

Let’s not kid ourselves, Rangers have benefitted more than any other team in the league from unconscious bias, VAR has just levels up the playing field and they absolutely hate it.
