‘Corrupt’ – Celtic fans spot another blatant VAR ‘honest mistake’ vs Kilmarnock

What a week it has been for Celtic fans, referees and VAR.

Not long after celebrating the news that Alan Muir had been emptied from VAR duties by the SFA, Celtic have been the subject of another ‘honest mistake‘ from the guys in the video room.

Celtic battered Kiomarnock 5-1 in the Scottish Premiership yesterday afternoon in a day where Brendan Rodgers sent a clear message to his players after dropping no less than four first-team players for what should have been the title-winning game.

With the score at 4-1, VAR chalked off a goal for a tight offside but it looks like all is not what it seems after Celtic fans spot a blatant mistake in the pictures released on Sky Sports where the lines appear to be off.

Not long after the second-half had kicked off, Celtic appeared to stretch their lead to 5-1 against Kilmarnock but it seems VAR had other ideas. And they may well have got it all wrong. Again.

And the Image that is causing all the talk on X?

It appears that whoever drew the line had had one too many shandys in the sun and the Celtic fans where none to pleased.

The Celtic fans are unlikely to let this go as they tell the SFA exactly what they got wrong with this call.

Another Celtic fan said, “The red line from the Celtic player slopes away from him, whilst the Killie player’s line slopes towards him.

“It’s a fu–ing joke that we accept this.”

@Cmack659 also added, “That’s a piece of nonsense and said it numerous times. He’s not even near the red drawn line and the Killie player behind is playing him onside……made up lines by VAR.”

Celtic should always call this out and do it from a position of strength. When winning. And as long as the club and the fans continue to do so, the pressure on Willie Collum and the SFA will continue to mount.
