Celtic fans are all saying the same thing after a familiar Alfredo Morelos update emerges

I’ll get to the Celtic game tomorrow because technically today is my day off but I couldn’t not comment on the latest succulent lamb on former Rangers striker, Alfredo Morelos.

The Colombian was one of the most overrated players ever to grace Scottish football.

In four seasons at the Ibrox club, Morelos won two trophies. The COVID title and a Scottish Cup is all he has to show for his time in Scotland. Or to put it another way, St Johnstone won the same amount of trophies in less time than Alfie.

And in 23 appearances against Celtic, Morelos scored just three goals after being on the losing side 12 times, drawing three and winning just eight. (Transfermarkt)

However, Morelos gave us some of the best moments of The Banter Years. Failing to turn up for two crucial Champions League qualifiers for Rangers which caused them to be eliminated before the group stages was class.

And let’s not forget about his wife bugging his car because he was doing the dirty on her and his young child with his mistress. Class.

But the best thing about him is leaving Rangers on a free despite the club knocking back a £40m bid from China one season then a further £16m bid from a mystery French club as well.

Now at Santos, wee Alfie is now being told to leave on a free after a common theme that summed up his time at Ibrox arose once again.

Morelos Banter Years continues for Celtic fans

I mean how many times does it take to be told about the same thing before you decide to change something about it?

It’s quite incredible that this guy has managed to forge a career out of being an overweight footballer and it’s amused the Celtic fans no end:

  1. The greatest striker ever to grace Scottish football, so the Scottish press would have us believe. Always a custard cream away fron clinical obesity. A thug to boot as well. I wonder will Sevco take him back on a freebie.
