Reo Hatate has absolutely triggered the Rangers fans as Celtic go four points clear

Above the Main Entrance, Celtic Park

Celtic’s 3-0 win over St Mirren has sent Brendan Rodgers’ side four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership today.

Goals from Reo Hatate, Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah bolsters the Bhoys’ lead at the top albeit Rangers have a game in hand.

There is no room for mistakes now for the Ibrox side at Dingwall tomorrow and Dens Park on Wednesday as any dropped points at this stage will hand Celtic a massive advantage heading into the split.

So maybe that’s why the Rangers fans are a little bit edgy tonight. Because it’s what Reo Hatate is allegedly meant to have done at Celtic Park seems to really have upset the Rangers fans.

Was it his goal? Nah. Was it the fact he returned to first team action and his performance in the Glasgow Derby has them worried? Possibly.

But it was against St Mirren the Rangers fans are accusing Hatate of diving.

Let’s just forget that there was contact on Hatate’s ankle. Let’s also forget that whilst Hatate went down, the Japanese midfielder was right to ask the referee and VAR to have a look at it.

And it’s these very same fans that have already conveniently forgotten that they were slaughtering Fabio Silva just this week for actually diving against Celtic.

The number of times the Portuguese hit the deck against Celtic was embarrassing.

But it seems that Hatate has done a superb job in triggering a spell of short-term amnesia amongst the Ibrox hordes as the penny drops that they are now chasing the champions for the title:

Seems I’m not the only one that saw the contact on Hatate::

There’s loads of tweets out there claiming the same thing but I’ll just finish off with this as it seems quite apt:
