David Tanner’s bizarre Rangers verdict after Euro exit makes superb Friday morning reading for Celtic fans

David Tanner on commentary duty for Celtic in the Champions League

The pain emanating from the Rangers fans and Ibrox leaning pundits since they got turfed out of Europe last night has been superb entertainment for the Celtic supporters.

From Kris Boyd almost losing all composure on Sky Sports to the Bears fighting with each other right on the full time whistle, last night was superb viewing for us.

And this morning the pain continues after David Tanner’s latest social media post shows just how much the Euro exit cut runs deep.

Now I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure that if you make two attempts at trying to beat your opponent and fail twice, with them winning in your own patch, means that you fully deserve to go go through to the next round.

I don’t know what games Tanner was watching but the Ibrox ‘hoofball’ was absolutely dire to watch.

And let’s not forget, they were absolutely lost without a Scottish referee there to help prop them up with their obligatory favourable VAR decisions.

And as for the Road to Dublin, UEFA made a mockery of that the minute they started to make plans for a potential final involving the Ibrox club.

But in fairness to the governing body, it does take time to deploy the national guard so I suppose they were correct to prepare for a potential warzone after what they saw in Manchester.

I wonder if they contacted Armitage Shanks for an emergency delivery of toilet bowls as well?

Anyway, enjoy the latest episode of Rangers media pain because there is a lot more to come today.

  1. Road to Dublin, more we’re on the road to nowhere.
Need to stop counting chickens before they hatch.
