‘Talking nonsense’, ‘No well’ – Andy Halliday rinsed as he rewrites the history of Celtic’s last two title wins

Former Rangers midfielder, Andy Halliday

The title race is really hotting up now and it seems that Celtic may well have turned a corner with that superb late win over Motherwell on Sunday.

Two late goals from Adam Idah and Luis Palma keep the pressure on Rangers at the top and it seems like we now have a genuine title race for the first time in ten years. That’s according to the unbiased and totally impartial, Andy Halliday.

Wait, what? The first title race in over ten years? That’s not right surely? Was the title race over in October in Ange Postecoglou‘s first season?

Was it not February before Celtic went top after scudding Rangers 3-0 in 2022? Was the league not just tied up with about five games to go last season?

Or is Andy Halliday just wetting himself because Rangers are top of the league for the first time in over 18 months and he can’t contain himself?

I’ll go for the latter option. It’s incredible the amount of nonsense these pundits, and their fans, completely make up their own narrative whenever it comes to talking up their club.

They didn’t liquidate. They came out of administration. We are the same club. We don’t sing sectarian songs anymore.

They really are a different breed and deserve to be mocked and that is exactly what the Celtic fans did here to Halliday’s ridiculous claim.
