‘He was very precise’ – Phil Mac Giolla Bhain shares what Brendan Rodgers told his source about his January window expectations from Celtic

Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic’s business, or lack of, in the transfer window in January could well come back and bite us in the backside.

Brendan Rodgers added two players in Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn as the Celtic manager looked to bolster his team for the title run in.

However, it seems that what Rodgers got isn’t what he was promised and at least half of the amount of players we needed. That’s according to Phil Mac Giolla Bhain.

In his latest blog, Phil said:

It’s absolutely no secret that Celtic tried and failed to get a left back in this January.

The addition of Idah seems like blind luck rather than superb scouting and adding a goalkeeper is something that has bee rumbling on since last summer.

Now that Joe Hart is retiring Celtic’s hand has been forced and they will absolutely need to recruit a stopper as Benjamin Siegrist and Scott Bain are just not good enough.

Next summer will be an interesting window as Rodgers will need to spend and big to improve his stuttering squad.
