Phil Mac Giolla Bhain absolutely nails it with £60m Celtic board claim

Celtic chairman, Peter Lawwell

The Celtic fans have long been exasperated with the board for as long as I can remember.

In fact, during the two years that Ange Postecoglou was the manager, that is the only time I can remember in the past two decades that the Celtic board have not copped some serious flack from the supporters.

The COVID season was the most toxic in recent times but, in general, most gripes the fans have is how the club fail to properly invest in the team.

And that failure is going to come back and bite us on the proverbial. Phil Mac Giolla Bhain took to social media platform X in the wake of Celtic’s draw with Kilmarnock and nailed the board to the cross with this superb tweet.

And there is your dinner. Celtic’s inability to properly run their recruitment department is going to gift Sevco the title and the £60m worth of Champions League money that goes along with it.

If that does happen that will be unforgivable in the eyes of the Celtic support who plough millions upon millions into the coffers each year.

The board had better hope this team gets its act together and pronto otherwise the COVID season may well look like a picnic in May.
