Allan Hutton’s hilarious James Tavernier claim tells you how much Celtic have broken Rangers

Celtic Park

Not for the first time today the Celtic fans are going to laugh at what Alan Hutton has got to say.

Earlier tonight I told how he thinks Rangers would knockback £15m for Jack Butland if anyone was daft enough to pay that for the ‘keeper.

And now the former Oldco defender is at it again with his latest comments about Sevco’s, James Tavernier.

Hutton said [Football Insider], “I think Tavernier has to be a Rangers legend for me.

“When you see the money that his move from Wigan cost – it was next to nothing.

“He’s been there through thick and thin.

“Tavernier was in the lower leagues with them and come back up.

“His goals and assists – he’s so robust and very rarely injured.

“He’s won all the domestic trophies now too, so I think you have to put him in that bracket now.

“It’s been an outstanding buy for Rangers and his goals this season and brace against St Johnstone prove it.

“In terms of value for money in their modern history, no one’s done what he has.

“He’s taken a lot of stick over the years but he always takes in on the chin.

“It shows you the type of guy that he is.”

It just shows you how much Celtic have broken this lot when they are still trying to laud Captain Failure as a Sevco legend.

I suppose they are only twelve years old and the legend’s list needs to start somewhere but come on. Three major honours in the time he has been at the club is hardly befitting of a legend.

Put it this way, Alexandro Bernabei has won more than Tav and he’s a player we are trying to punt.

The decades of Celtic domination have hurt them so much that they now celebrate mediocrity as success. Just imagine how they will all feel when we win the title this season.

The meltdown will be epic!
