Frank McAvennie has shared what he really thinks about Rangers taking the title from Celtic and it’s didn’t go down too well with our friends on Follow Follow.
After Rangers claimed the top spot from Celtic, the former Hoops hero told what he really thought about Sevco and their bid for the title.
McAvennie said [PLZ Soccer], “Rangers will be favourites because of the bookies. But, let’s be honest, Rangers are not in any great shape, they’re not a good team. But they’re winning games.
“Clement’s made it simple. They’re getting it up the park, they’re feeding off scraps and they’re getting wins, results. It’s something Celtic don’t do now. I think there’s still a lot of points to be dropped. I hope they can turn it round – it’s a massive month coming up.”
I think these are very fair comments considering most people agree that Celtic and Rangers are both as poor as they have ever been at this current period in time. Not on Follow Follow though.

And on this thread on Follow Follow, McAvennie has upset the Ibrox hordes:
“Nae bother Frankie boy. We only finished top of our Europa League group, have won a domestic cup and are now sitting top of the league but whatever you say you demented fool.”
“I’ll know we’ve won the League when ” best of a bad lot ” becomes the new media buzzword.”
“This seems to be their go to comfort blanket when they fear we might be getting on top. I heard Mark Wilson say ‘Rangers don’t play sparkling football’ at least 3 times in a 5 minute segment on Sky Sports yesterday. News flash for you Bhoys, there is only one type of football that matters and that is winning football.” Bizarre comment considering there was fighting in the Ibrox stands at the Ross County game.
“Some indisputable facts in Scottish fitba…1. Celtic have NEVER lost a game fair and square. “Always cheated, never defeated” 2. Rangers have NEVER won a match, or been top of the league, by playing good football.” He forgot number 3, all the times Celtic have won the treble, the Sevco fans claimed that the domestic game was poor. Weird that, eh?
