Everybody is entitled to offer their opinion on Celtic and the events surrounding the club. Fans, pundits and ex-players, that can all put their tuppence worth in.
As long as what is being offered is balanced and thought out, then the Celtic fans will listen to what anyone (within reason) has to say.
Pundits like Jason Cundy get, rightly, slaughtered for the amount of nonsense they talk. Guys like him speak from a position on no knowledge of Celtic or the Scottish game.
But surely Neil Lennon is worthy of a say. Like I said, as long it’s balanced then fair play.
The former Celtic gaffer was speaking about what his going on at the club and the supporters chanting f*** the board on Saturday when he warned the Celtic fans to be ‘careful what you wish for’.

There was nothing balanced about that. Every Celtic fan knows Lennon is defending his friend and to be honest, he is quite entitled to do so.
But when you look at the decline in standards in Europe in the past 20 years as well as struggling against one of the poorest Newco Rangers teams I have ever seen, Lennon opens himself up to some serious criticism.
One fan said, “Sounds like the same talk he gave during the COVID season when he was sunning it in Dubai half-scooped.”
And this fan rammed home a truth Lennon won’t like, “With all due respect Neil, your inability to see when the rot is setting in the reason you’re on that couch.”
Lennon enraged this Celtic supported and recalled his time at the club, “The biggest yes man the Celtic board’s ever had in the dugout, he’ll defend them until his last breath.”
Another asked if Lennon was hawking himself for the manager’s job, “And there he is just when things were mellowing towards him. Bang get in there an help out yer pals eh Neil? You looking for an interview soon.”
And the final word goes to this Celtic fan, “Lennon, an icon as a player, a half-decent manager and a banger of a guy unfortunately.“
