Watching Brendan Rodgers’ recent press conferences at Celtic is pretty much like watching paint dry.
The Celtic manager‘s monotone voice and expressionless face regardless of whether the team win or lose does leave a lot to be desired.
It’s fair to say it’s changed days from watching Ange Postecoglou keeping the Scottish press on strings.
However, it was Rodgers’ demeanour at the post-match press conference after the defeat to Hearts that left Matt McGlone seriously concerned.
This is what Rodgers said:

Although Rodgers was very honest in his interview, there doesn’t seem to be that fire in the Celtic manager’s belly that was reported to be there at halftime against St Johnstone.
And McGlone was left less than impressed.
McGlone said, “Lots of waffle chat but not an ounce of concern.
“Very apparent. One step away from an unrecoverable situation for him!”
‘One step away’ from the sack? Losing the dressing room? Or from walking away?
Whatever it is, listening to Rodgers doesn’t really inspire confidence that there is an answer to the recent problems Celtic have.
If anything, it just raises more questions.
