“PENALTY RANGERS” is a weekly running joke not just by the Celtic fans, but for the whole of Scottish football.
The announcement is now so regular, it is met with expectation rather than incredulity by all football fans.
As are the regularity of red cards that the opposition teams seem to get when they face the Ibrox club.
But is it really that bad? Does the Govan side really get as much help from the men in black as we believe they do or are we just being paranoid?
These stats on both of these points the Ibrox club suggest that they do get more than their fair share of favourable decisions.
A penalty and an opposition red card in every two games for them. That’s incredible.
That and the fact that their captain has scored 50 penalties in four years is another one. Is there another club in the world that has these kind of stats?
I am going to guess no. And we should be seriously on our guard for the cup final next Sunday.
Because you can guarantee that they will get at least one of the favourable decisions. So much so that I am going to put money on it.
