Hugh Keevins breaks ranks and latest Celtic/Rangers comments will shock the fans into disbelief

Celtic Park

I think this is the first time this has ever happened.

Hugh Keevins criticised Rangers whilst praising Celtic in the same breath.

Yes. It’s true. It’s on their podcast. Normally whenever Rangers are getting stick, Celtic are lumped in there to balance the books.

But not this time.

In fact, Hugh Keevins was extremely scathing on Rangers, the manager and their captain for their attitude towards the Champions League whilst at the same time was being being supportive and positive about Celtic and Ange Postecoglou.

I know. Unreal.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “I’ll go back to the very first game they [Rangers] played in the group against Ajax. The manager set a negative tone by saying, well, we can’t really compete at this level, it’s unrealistic to think we can.

Then they take a passive attitude to the remainder of their games. They’ve lost 16 goals in the section so far. They continually make mistakes, do not learn from them and make the same mistakes over again.

I go back to the manager having created that mindset. The players are quite happy, and James Tavernier joined in by saying get into the Champions League is a bonus.

Celtic have lost seven Champions League matches in a row at Celtic Park. Seven. But keep coming back for more. Ange Postecoglou’s philosophy is they will come back, they will try they and will play their own football.

Now, some people might say that’s the wrong attitude to take and the he should we have to modify his game.

However, at least give him credit for having a go and being in the matches. Rangers are taking a passive attitude to their work, and they’re nowhere near the matches.”

Quite something right?

But what’s the betting that won’t last. It never does.
