This guy is just fantastic isn’t he?
Not only is he just a couple of months off from being slapped on the wrists for his Celtic/Warne debacle, English puts his foot in it again with a stupid dig at Hibs owner Ron Gordon.
The Hibs owner gave an interview with the BBC after the dismissal of Shaun Maloney where he discussed a variety of issues and instead of listening to the piece before tweeting, English sent this:
Tom then had to issue a grovelling ‘deleted tweet’ notice on his timeline (not an apology I might add) before the BBC had to step in again:
Now remember, this guy is the CHIEF Sports Writer for The Herald, or was as it’s no longer in his bio, but is still an experienced journalist but failed to complete something as simple as a basic fact check.
I’m just a novice blogger but even I make doubly sure I get my facts right before publishing a single thing.
And these Hibs fans were not happy at all:
@TEnglishSport Wow, now there was me thinking a reporter is actually meant to listen to interviews before firing our tweets like that? Ever thought of being a politician Tom? Fit right in with the lying Tories 👍🏼

“Alarming” Bloody hell, what was so alarming or have you actually not listened to it and need to delete another tweet?
After the interview I’m assured and very confident that we’ve an owner who has the ambition, the drive and the strategy to deliver. pic.twitter.com/3kBVRaG5iS
