“Anything to put that lot on top” – The BBC’s latest attempt at pro Sevco propaganda backfired spectacularly

Yeah they will do anything to make this lot look good.

From their claim that *Rangers could win the Europa League after their 3-0 win over Red Star Belgrade, they seem, now, to be trying their level best to make them look good for the SPFL.

They posted a graphic [thanks to Facebook user Stephen Cartwright] on their latest show placing *Rangers at the top of the ‘expected goals’ league but all that did is show them up as failing to be clinical enough in front of goal.

*Rangers are expected to score 2.61 goals per game according to the xG stats. They are currently on 2. Almost one goal behind expectations. But first in the table compared to Celtic.

Celtic’s expectations are predicted at 2.41 goals per game but are managing 2.5, which is above expectations.

As are Livingston, Dundee, St Johnstone, Dundee United and Ross County. All clubs ahead of the stats but placed further down in the table.

If the stats were displayed correctly, then Rangers would be nearer the bottom of the table, but we can’t have that now can we?

We can’t highlight that Europe’s conquerors have one of the worst goal scoring ratio’s in the SPFL.

That just won’t do.
