“Unreal”, “That’s a belter” – Hibs fan Charlie Adam SPFL reply tweet goes viral

With news of Charlie Adam’s unfortunate brush with the law spreading like wildfire yesterday, there was an unending barrage of tweets condemning and, let’s face it, ripping the absolute life out of Adam following his charge of drink driving.

The former Rangers midfielder was arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing his car into a tree in the early hours of Monday morning.

I’ll refrain from posting the kinds of replies I have read here to the news but one tweet did catch my attention.

In an innocent post on Twitter, the SPFL official account asked it’s followers who they were backing to pick up the three points in the clash between Hibs and Dundee and one reply sent the social media platform into overdrive:

And just like that, the tweet went viral.

Thankfully, it is not thought the Dundee captain was hurt in the smash and that no one else was involved but it does remain to be seen whether or not he will appear for the Tayside club again after his untimely brush with the law.
