Rangers fans embarrass themselves over SPFL Team of the Week

The SPFL Team of the Week if probably more hotly debated than Kris Boyd’s.

No wait, that’s a lie. Nothing is more hotly debated than Kris Boyd because half the time no one knows what the hell Kris Boyd is talking about.

But this announcement, just like Celtic’s yesterday about selling the last remaining tickets for the Glasgow Derby, just shows the shocking lack of basic knowledge that fan base has when it comes to general football issues.

The SPFL Team of The Week is comprised from players from all divisions of the Scottish football leagues.

A panel convenes, picks the most outstanding performers from the weekends fixtures and they get recognised with a spot in the team of the week.

Simple right?

Well, no, not really. Here is the team that was chosen:

Not much wrong with that team I suppose however I will take it their knowledge of the lower leagues is better than mine.

But Rangers fans where all up in arms. Raging must be their default setting because even I can see at least one player from their team in there. And that is a very important factor and I’ll tell you why in a minute.

Now, anyone that knows anything about this team of the week is that only one player per team can make the squad. Simple. Basic. Rule.

But then the rules are alien to the fans that believe their team just won ’55’.
