Whatever your opinion on the tackle from Ryan Porteous on Joe Aribo, using sectarian and racist slurs to vent your anger at him is bang out of order.
In an interview with The Times, Porteous opened up on the vile abuse he received from the blue half of Glasgow and how it has affected him since.

Porteous received his punishment for that tackle and he took it. No questions asked.
As the article was tweeted out by the writer Graham Spiers, on Rangers supporter wrote this:
The level of hypocrisy and outright idiocy in this depressing thread shows you just how deep rooted this issue is amongst the Ibrox support. And the levels of denial is astounding.
I wrote two pieces on this very subject this week and they really are indicative of what we have witnessed from that support since their first league win in their history.
The first reply to the article tweet is indicative of how this thread goes so brace yourself:

Part of football’s problems are players like Porteous trying to end peoples careers. This guy who’s greatest achievement is posing with a picture of him hurting an opponent or calling out bloggers on social media. Jog on.

And this is genuinely the most depressing reply on the thread:
Hold on.. Porteous is now crying over some hurty words online..
Wait
HAHAHAHA
YES!.. Perfect start to the weekend.

Remember the last time a player used “hurty words” against Joe Aribo? How did that go?
