With the Glasgow Derby approaching, the Celtic fans are now starting to hear the usual noises coming from the Rangers camp surrounding the upcoming Celtic Park clash.
All last season we had to listen to Rangers and the Scottish media blow smoke about Rangers and how they were going to catch Celtic, especially in the Glasgow Derby.
Well, we all saw how that panned out as Brendan Rodgers remained unbeaten against the Ibrox club as Philippe Clement’s bottle crashed and Celtic picked up a league and Scottish Cup double.
And now, less than three days before the first Glasgow Derby of the season, the Rangers fans are at it again with the latest claim that they have a player just as good as Callum McGregor.
Connor Barron can ‘get about’ Celtic captain
Yeah, you heard that correctly. Last season it was Todd Cantwell who was going to teach McGregor a lesson.
The season before that it was John Lundstram. And now, it’s free signing from Aberdeen, Connor Barron’s turn.

The fan said, “Having watched Rangers from the start of the season and especially against Ross County, the player that stood out for me is Connor Barron.
“And I think that from Sunday’s point of view, we might have, for the first time in a number of years, a foil for McGregor when it comes to Celtic.
“In relation to energy getting about the park and someone who can get about Callum McGregor and make it difficult for him to make the passes that he does and dictate the play.”
They just never learn do they? Since they were born just over twelve years ago all the Celtic fans have been hearing is how Rangers are coming and their players are going to dominate Scotland.
Fast forward from 2012 and a freak title win later, Celtic have won five trebles and countless silverware as Rangers *checks notes* rack up three trophies out of 36.
I can’t wait till Sunday and Rodgers puts Rangers back in their box to cause even more Ibrox pain at this early stage of the season.
