Celtic fans have twigged that all is not well after Rangers manager, Philippe Clement, spoke about 2012 as the Ibrox fans prepare to protest outside Hampden today.
The Ibrox club’s fans are imploding as they face the reality that they are never going to catch Celtic as their season lurches from one disaster to the next.
Firstly, Ibrox is a complete shambles. And with no date for re-entry being guaranteed, the fans are voting with their feet.
Crashing out of the Champions League was the next disaster to befall them and now that their transfer budget has been severely impacted, it seems that Rangers’ chances to add to their squad to catch Celtic has been eviscerated.
Especially after what Philippe Clement said yesterday. Have a watch of this:
Celtic fans respond to Clement’s 2012 Rangers reminder
Clement sounds like a man resigned to the fact the club he works for is absolutely skint. No cash. Nothing.
And as soon as 2012 left his mouth, the Celtic fans all asked the Rangers manager one question:
The first Celtic fan got a wee bit cheeky here:
What happened 12yrs ago? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This Celtic fan decided to tell the Rangers manager exactly what happened:
12 year ago they ripped up 120 million worth of debt and pretended to be the same club how terrible it must have been to walk away from 120 million worth of debt

One Celtic fan hoped:
Administration on the way in September

And another reckons that Clement’s words don’t bode well for the Ibrox club:
They must be on the brink financially if the manager is mentioning an administration that led to liquidation.

Do we have coded messages from Big Phil to the Rangers fans:
Did the Bealegian just tell the huns to stf up or they’ll die again?😂😂😂

Whilst another Celtic fan is getting ready to party:
Oh how we laughed 🥳🥳 pic.twitter.com/IpmilusYx7

This summer has been a barrel of laughs and if Rangers do go down the road of the EBT years, then another chapter of The Banter Years beckons.
