Celtic fans tell raging Stan Collymore why the Scottish media won’t blame Rangers supporters for Murrayfield crowd trouble

The pre-season games are a chance for Celtic and Rangers to prepare to do battle for the Scottish Premiership title when the league resumes in August.

Celtic are taking on a money-spinning tour of America whilst Rangers host all their friendlies away from the normal venue of Ibrox because of the shambles of the Copland Road upgrade.

Unfortunately, that means that the Ibrox support will be thrust upon undeserving communities and as well all known, they do not travel well without causing trouble.

This site has covered their European endeavours and on numerous occasions, they have caused riots and fights in European cities sullying the good name of Scottish football supporters.

So when they had to travel the short distance to Edinburgh to go and watch their team take on Manchester United, you would think they would behave themselves, right?

Wrong.

Rangers fans’ alleged homophobic and racist chants

A cricket game in Edinburgh had to be abandoned last weekend due to ‘racist and homophobic’ chants as well as allegations of sexism.

As the only club to have had stands closed for this type of thing and due to their history with racism and sectarianism, it’s not hard to guess which club’s fans were to blame.

And that is exactly what irked Stan Collymore.

Now we all know exactly why the Scottish media will not dare upset Rangers or their fans. It’s been spoken about enough on here.

So these Celtic fans explained it to Collymore although I suspect he already knew the answer to his own questions anyway:

Hope that clears it up for Stan.
