Not long after telling how Graham Spiers was held to account by Celtic fans over his view of the Scottish media’s handling of Rangers’ Ibrox shambles, it seems that the truth may well already be out there about the stadium’s problems.
After rumours first broke on Follow Follow about issues with getting steel for the upgrades to the Copland Road stand, more whispers have suggested that there could be issues with subsidence and asbestos at the stadium.
Since then, pictures have emerged of the progress of the works and I have to say they have been slow at best.
Well, it seems that there is no smoke without fire as Rangers media outlet, GERSNET Podcast share what they have heard is going on in their club.
Gersnet ‘hearing’ of something ‘dodgy’ at Ibrox
One of the contributors to the podcast, Colin Armstrong, has shared what he has been told about Ibrox from people he knows in the construction industry and it will make the Celtic supporters laugh.
Armstrong said [GersNet], “A couple of my mates work in the construction industry and they had heard before it was official that there were issues at Ibrox and that the steel had been delayed and it could impact the start of the season.
“They are now hearing that some dodgy concrete has been found in Copland Road and that there’s been a further delay and that it will need to be fixed.”
Dodgy concrete? Who would have thought? And if this rumour is to be believed then there are more questions for Graham Spiers and his journalistic cohorts to be asking the club.
Of course, they won’t, or shall I say they are too scared to, but then why should they bother when they have podcasters like this guy willing to spill the beans about it?
