Philippe Clement’s dressing room bust-up with Ibrox hierarchy after handing Celtic title advantage

Statue at Ibrox

I’m sure the Rangers fans won’t mind a bit of fighting in the camp seeing as they all love to worship everything British like the dambusters, Wolrd War 2 and Winston Churchill.

The Celtic fans find all that stuff hilarious and rather cringy but seeing as the Ibrox support are entrenched in all that, they will certainly not mind Philippe Clement fighting with the Ibrox hierarchy as the end of this season demands people who can stand up in the trenches.

The Ross County defeat set off a chain of events over in Ibrox that not even the most hardened of Celtic fans could have expected.

The moonhowling has only just begun as the scattergun comes out and people like Alex Rae, Clement and James Tavernier all cop it from the Rangers and Celtic fans.

However, it’s what is allegedly meant to have happened in the Ross County dressing room that has piqued my interest this afternoon.

Rangers infighting will delight the Celtic supporters

With so much riding on this season’s title, the Champions League cash-pot awaiting the winners could be a game-changer for both clubs.

For Celtic it will put us streets ahead of Rangers. For Rangers, it will keep their lights on. It really is that simple.

Which makes Phil Mac Giolla Bhain‘s latest claim all that more interesting.

In his latest blog Phil said, “I understand that Philippe’s trusted deputy (Alex Rae) was administering some home truths to the light blue bottlers when the Transcendial Chairman (John Bennet) broke the sanctity of the dressing room.

“A stand-up autopsy ensued, examining the success of the January transfer window.

“I’m told that the glabrous gaffer (Philippe Clement) reminded the Serene One that he has requested two wingers with pace for the second half of the campaign.

“Instead he ended up with the Fabulous Fabi.

So it seems that all is not well at Ibrox at the moment and should Celtic win the title, it is safe to assume that the blue touch paper won’t take much to light as the meltdown over at Rangers will simply be epic.

What a time to be alive!

  1. You can just imagine that happening with them. Hopefully their bottle has well and truly crashed. Celtics form has not been great this season but things appear to be taking a turn for the better now with key players returning to the fold which could be crucial in the remaining games.

If the team manages to win the title this year it will be a remarkable achievement. I am taking nothing for granted given the up and down season we have had.

  2. Love to hear about all the infighting amongst the Huns. Will l that go away by Wednesday? Nope. We are playing better but still aways to go.
    Hope Dundee helps out
