Fabio Silva has to be one of the most embarrassing divers I have ever seen watching Celtic against Rangers in a Glasgow Derby match.
Some of the Portuguese players’ antics were so bad that even bookmaker, Paddy Power, took a massive swing at him immediately after he was subbed off in the 3-3 draw.
Silva’s ability to fall down was only matched by his skill at rolling about on the ground but here’s the thing, his dive to win Rangers a penalty wasn’t the worst thing about his performance yesterday.

It was this footage posted by a Celtic fan on X that won the day. In a slight altercation between Silva and Alistair Johnston, the Rangers attacker embarrassed himself by doing this:
I mean how do you even begin to take this apart? And what does his teammates think of him after this?
Well, we all know they will think. They will be wondering why the club never Dundee because the way that he was rolling about the pitch, Silva could have solved the Dens Park side’s pitch issues in next to no time.
I hope that when he wakes up and reviews the footage of the game tomorrow, Philippe Clement will take his player to the side and tell him to get a grip of himself.
But then after Silva conned John Beaton into giving his team a lifeline back into the game, I have a feeling Clement will be gifting his Portuguese loanee a DVD of Tom Daley’s best dives of his Olympic career.
Diving is something we need to see being punted out of our game. And seeing as Rangers are the new champions of sporting integrity, they will surely take the lead on this, right? Anyone?
