The Celtic fans are deeply suspicious of Rangers boss Philippe Clement after what he claimed he heard about the Ibrox clubs postponed Dundee fixture.
Rangers and their fans has already started the journey out to Dundee after news broke this morning that the game was threatened with overnight rain that forced an early morning pitch inspection.
However, Clement claimed that he and his club knew nothing about the setback as no one from Dundee had told them.
Clement claimed (Sky Sports), “Very disappointed in many ways. First because we didn’t know there was a problem. Nobody contacted us.
“Not yesterday evening, last night or this morning. It was our kit man who was here early who told us there was a problem. So that is a really strange thing for me.”
And it’s a statement some Celtic fans are simply not buying.
Celtic fans believe the Rangers manager is lying
The Celtic fans on social media were simply not buying what Clemente was saying and some went as far as saying the Rangers manager lied about the events of this morning.
One fan said on X, “Ref Robertson ‘In agreement with both clubs, a final decision would be made at 10.15 am.’ Yet, Lurch said he knew nothing about the game being in danger, and nobody from Dundee had informed them ? Lurch is a dangerous weapon.”
Another said he’s really starting to find his feet at Ibrox, but not in a good way, “Oh, he’s fitting right in with that lot isn’t he?”
One Celtic fan even questioned the Rangers manager’s timeline, “Says they knew nothing abt it but his own Club tweeted early morning saying there was an inspection at 9.15 am!!”
Another raised the same point about the kit man, “Know nothing about it yet there kitman was at dens from 9 o’clock strange club.
And one Celtic fan even went as far as saying the Rangers manager was being economical with the truth, ”And a born liar big lurch wants to run Scottish football.”
You know what? I don’t care what the Rangers manager says. The only thing that matters is that Celtic are top of the league and the table is something that never lies.
