‘I love him’ – Celtic ‘enigma’ praised for latest Parkhead performance

Celtic winger, Daizen Maeda, has been praised for his latest Celtic performance after he reached his 100th game for the club.

A hattrick against Livingston turned Maeda‘s special day into an unforgettable one as the Japan international put in a performance that showed the best and worst of him.

On top of his brilliant finishing for his three goals, Maeda also missed a gutful of chances that could have taken his goalscoring tally to six that day.

But that is exactly why Paul John Dykes of A Celtic State of Mind is a huge fan of the former bald-headed winger.

Daizen Maeda is still so important for Celtic

Dykes said (A Celtic State of Mind), “I think Maeda is an enigma. I love him. He scores a hat trick. He misses three probably half chances. I’ll let you know what my message was about Maeda.

” I called it. I called that that he was going to be the hero today.

“But the movie that he was in was part comedy, part horror, and he comes out and he’s the hero of the hour.

“Leave your hair to grow in son because it works an absolute treat.”

Maeda has certainly been a great acquisition for Celtic since he joined just over two years ago. Signed by Ange Postecoglou, Maeda’s 27 goals and 15 assists is a superb return for the fee of just over £1m Celtic paid to bring him over from Japan. (Transfermarkt)

And looking at what he’s contributed since he started growing his hair, I wouldn’t bet against the Japanese international forward having a huge say in how this title race is going to go. Especially in the upcoming fixture against Rangers at Ibrox next month.
