Rangers fan absolutely loses the plot and reports Anthony Joseph’s ‘disgusting’ Liel Abada Celtic transfer tweet

Celtic Park from Janefield Street

Out of all the takes I’ve seen about Liel Abada and his Celtic transfer, this has to be the most deranged of them all.

All week we have had to read and listen to a narrative being spun about Liel Abada’s Celtic exit but this one is a new one for me.

Whilst Abada thanked the Celtic fans for how they treated him during his time at the club, the Rangers fans are desperate to claim that it was the Hoops’ support that forced him out.

Indeed, we all know that’s a pile of nonsense and we also all know that now that Abada has gone, we wish him nothing but good luck.

But now, it’s not the fans who are getting it in the neck. It’s Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph.

Anthony Joseph’s Celtic tweet causes Ibrox fan meltdown

Joseph, who himself is a Celtic fan (can you spot where this is going?), tweeted out Abada’s message to the Celtic fans when this guy jumped on it and tagged Sky Sports into his mental reply.

I genuinely do worry about the mindset of this fanbase. If they are not fixated on CA, then it’s sectarian singing or anti-Irish racist chants. And instead of focusing on a good result in Europe, they continually foam at the mouth over Abada.

The truth is, they are absolutely fuming that Celtic have pocketed a multi-million-pound deal with a significant sell-on clause on a talented 22-year-old player who has a bright future in the game.

It’s also the truth that they were patiently waiting for Abada to come out and slate Celtic and the fans as soon as he sealed his move.

And now that he hasn’t, they are absolutely apoplectic. It’s great content to continually see that even on issues that have nothing to do with their club, we can still cause a meltdown in Govan amongst the Ibrox supporter base.
