There’s always a tweet – The 4th Official’s latest dig at Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers goes horribly wrong

Celtic Park from Janefield Street

Every media hack (and I have another one later) and their dog are queuing up to take a potshot at Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers this week.

Whether it’s to shoot down his assertion that there is a media narrative against him and Celtic or trying to pain him as some sort of sexist dinosaur, the faux media outrage is an embarrassment to the journalistic profession.

It’s little wonder fan media in this country is thriving.

Anyway, back to embarrassments. There is no bigger embarrassment on social media than the allegedly impartial football account, The 4th Official.

This guy was the next to take a pop at Rodgers when he quote tweeted the Scottish Feminist Network by claiming people in Scotland want to give the Celtic manager a ‘free pass’ in his ‘good girl‘ comment.

And as the good saying always goes, there’s always a tweet. Because no sooner had this clown sent out the post, the Celtic fans were on hand to show him some of his own sexist misdemeanours over the years.

As the old saying goes, if you’re going to have a moral stance you must always make sure your own powder is kept dry.

I’m sure The 4th Official will retract his tweet and delete all of his subsequent offending ones and have an apology ready at the same time.

It’s only been 18 hours after all.
