After Celtic dropped more points against Kilmarnock yesterday, Chris Sutton unleashed his verdict on Celtic and the manager, Brendan Rodgers.
Sutton never held back as he called the team ‘bag average’ and claimed that he couldn’t think of a single player Rodgers has improved since taking over the club last summer.

Sutton knows fine well that Liam Scales and Matt O’Riley have both improved under Rodgers but you can’t really argue with any of the other points he has made.
Leicester City fans agree with Sutton’s Celtic comments
If there is any fan base across the UK that is qualified to talk about Rodgers it’s The Foxes’ supporters.
After enjoying a period of success under the the Celtic manager, Rodgers eventually had them relegated from the Premier League and their comments on him are very interesting:
One fan in the thread said, “Same at Leicester City. He had a very talented motivated squad and mis-managed them, unravelling by the end. Since virtually all of those players have flourished and improved.”
Another replied, “Exactly the same at Leicester, Chris. Never have understood how he’s labelled an ‘elite manager’, all he seems to do is walk into a place, suck the fun and confidence out of it, put the blame on anyone but himself, get a huge payout and move onto the next disaster.”
Another took aim at Rodgers, “From the perspective of a @LCFC fan, towards the end of his time at my club it was very much the same. He won’t take responsibility for it, it will be labelled elsewhere. This interview could very well have been last season for us. Great work Chris, it needed saying. 👏🏽.”
Interesting comments about relegating Leicester from this fan, “Sutton could be saying exactly the same thing about BR in his last two years at Leicester were he was beyond terrible.
“Arguably relegated the most talented team ever to go down in PL history. He took that form to Celtic.”
One called Rodgers a fraud, “Is this the same Chris Sutton who said we should not sack him.. Rodgers is a fraud and sent the best #lcfc team for a while down whilst not improving a single player.”
So where does this leave Celtic? Sack a manager with 12 games left of the season or hope that he can eventually motivate this group of players into becoming champions?
I wouldn’t bet on the latter to be honest.
