Remember in my last piece where I started with ‘Sack the Board!’? Of course, you do. At the time I said I was joking but by the looks of it, there are calls on social from the Celtic fans media to do just that.
The lack of transfer business in January when the club and the board are sitting on £70m of the supporters’ money has infuriated the fans.
The supporters spend hundreds of pounds on season tickets, Champions League packages, and merchandise and don’t get me started on the exorbitant price they have put on attending the Player of the Year ceremony.
Fleeced, comes to mind. And it seems that the January window is the straw that has broken the camel’s back with the Celtic support.
Murmurings online suggest that the fans will be coming together at the next home game to tell the Celtic board exactly what they think of them.
You think they don’t know? Stop buying tickets and merchandise

The best way for a customer to protest is to take their custom elsewhere. So don't renew your ST and stop going if you are that disgruntled with the Board.

I stopped buying merchandise a long time ago and call me gullible but I won’t stop buying my season ticket. Back the team sack the board!

Here’s the thing, you will be hard-pressed to convince anyone to give up their season ticket. With a waiting list of 10,000 people, there will always be someone there to pick one up so the board will always get their cash.
Boycotting merchandise might help but the best thing the fans can do is make their voices heard and the 17th of February looks like it could be a day or reckoning for the Celtic board.
