“He’s absolute torture”, “Worst signing ever” – Follow Follow turn on summer signing despite Motherwell win

Ibrox Stadium

Remember how I wrote and article on the Celtic fans lambasting the Ibrox lot as one of the weirdest fanbases in football?

No? Scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see it there. Anyway, it’s true. They really are. For whatever reason, even after today’s win at Motherwell, that fanbase can’t find it in themselves to be happy for two seconds.

No sooner had the final whistle blown at Fir Park today had they started a thread on Follow Follow specifically set up to slaughter one of their own players.

Titled “Dessers – Reborn?” (no jokes about Rangers – Reborn? please…..) those lovely chaps couldn’t resist taking aim at Cyriel Dessers.

One fan said, “Worst signings of the season or ever?

Doubt he would even make a reserve list of worst signings ever.

Another posted, “He will go down as one of our worst signings. But I understand the unrelenting need to be positive on here. To the point of being blind.”

I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen anything positive of that fan forum ever.

This fan saw improvements but still lambasted the striker, “He’s slightly less p**h than he was before.”

And this one took a dig at Sam Lammers as well, “No Lammers will be one of our worst, Dessers is at least providing numbers….”

This one has already had enough, “He’s absolute torture. People get carried away and start threads if he has an assist now ffs.

“The money he cost he should be causing absolute chaos against SPFL dross week in, week out.

Is that the same SPFL dross that The Rangers have managed to Lord it over just once in their entire history despite spending over £100m since the were born?

With friends like these, who needs enemies? It’s not Dessers’ fault Michael Beale spent £4.5m on him.

If anything the The Rangers fans should be Bealie-ing that the suits at the club were daft enough to trust the used car salesman with their whole 2023/24 budget.

Welcome to Ibrox Dessers.
