”I think” – Jamie O’Hara makes his feelings on Celtic and Brendan Rodgers very clear

Former Spurs player, Jamie O’Hara has made his feelings about Brendan Rodgers and Celtic perfectly clear after the weekend defeat to Hearts.

O’Hara was speaking after the Tynecastle side surprised Celtic on Saturday and Rodgers’ men infuriated the Hoops support as they looked out of ideas and fight.

O’Hara said (Grosvenor Sport), “Looking at Celtic, I’ve always liked Brendan Rodgers.

“He did the business at Celtic for a long time and then he left, and Ange Postecoglou was obviously fantastic there as well.

“I think Brendan is a brilliant tactician who knows how to get the best out of players, and the recent results shouldn’t worry the side.”

The Celtic fans will be hoping that O’Hara is correct and that Rodgers can somehow drag the team out of this mess but on the evidence of the last few games, I cannot see how.

Rodgers himself looked down and out, the Celtic players a full time looked shell shocked and the fans were left watching on in disbelief as Hearts just walked out of Celtic Park with three precious points with ease.

With just two games to go in 2023 to go with a New Year finale against Rangers coming up, Brendan Rodgers must be looking at his team wondering who he can rely on to help overcome a Rangers team who will be brimming with confidence after their cup final win yesterday.

The saving grace for Celtic is that there is a transfer window coming up that they can throw money at to improve this team.

But the money has got to be spent better than it did in the summer.

There are too many players on too much money with no will to change what’s going on at the club and that’s a real worry.
