“Torment” – Hugh Keevins gets carried away after Rangers cup win with ridiculous Celtic comment

Celtic Park

With Celtic currently struggling to find some form under Brendan Rodgers, the fans will be looking across the city at the cup final scenes and be wondering, ‘What if’.

What if Celtic just got their recruitment right? What if they just found some decent form at the beginning of the season? And what if they signed Philippe Clement instead of Brendan Rodgers?

Ok, that last one I got slightly carried away with but I might as well seeing as Rangers are about to conquer Scottish football despite that turgid display in the League Cup final.

Because that’s what Hugh Keevins seems to think. The radio pundit made an outlandish claim right after full time at Hampden that will leave the Celtic fans scratching their heads.

Hugh Keevins says Phillipe Clement will ‘torment’ Celtic

Despite Celtic still remaining five points clear ahead in the league and despite Rangers performances being just as poor as they were under Beale, Keevins can’t help but get carried away.

Keevins said, “I think people will need to get used to these kinds of scene because I think this man is a serious manager.

”In four days he’s got the 16 of the Europa League, won a trophy and now has the whip hand in the Premiership title race.”

”This guy, I think, is going to torment Celtic.” (Clyde Superscoreboard)

I suppose when you need help from the match officials to win the cup and points in the league it is easy to come to that assertion.

Hugh, like many others in the Scottish media just need to calm down a wee bit. There’s a long way to go but it’s clear that the anti-Celtic agenda masks are really starting to slip.
