“There was some around me calling for his head” – ‘Hounded’ Rangers fan recalls Ibrox infighting and Beale meltdown over ‘that’ goal

At a time where the Rangers fans should be enjoying the praise and adulation for what many have regarded as a brilliant sportsmanship by Michael Beale, what they have been doing is showing themselves up for what they really.

A club filled with rancid morals and hatred. Hatred of doing the right thing and condoning what can essentially be called out as cheating.

Because that is what Malik Tillman did. Not once, but twice.

His dive for the penalty was bad enough against Partick Thistle but then to go on and do what he did to score Rangers second goal? Embarrassing.

Beale defended his player and, rightfully, allowed Thistle to go up the park and score to right that wrong but it wasn’t a view shared by the Ibrox supporters:

This fan called The Go Radio Football Show to share his experience of being ‘hounded’ for showing support for the Ibrox gaffer’s decision, “I thought it was fantastic sportsmanship. I thought even after the game what Mick said how we are as a team.

I certainly think it would have been plastered all over the papers city if we win that game given that goal.

At the time, I did applaud the gesture and I was absolutely hounded by my fellow supporters. I don’t think there was a general consensus that we’re all in the same boat.

There was some around me calling for his head, but I thought it was a fantastic gesture and I wanted to highlight that.”

And his recollection is pretty much spot on with what I am going to say is the majority of their fans.

No sporting integrity. No morals. No problem, that’s all welcome down Ibrox way.
