“I am absolutely fed up hearing excuses from Celtic” – Hugh Keevins completely bizarre Europe criticism of Celtic and the fans

Celtic Park

Right, cards on the table. If I have got this one wrong, someone let me know.

I don’t think I have heard one Celtic fan moan about the budget of other clubs after we had been knocked out of the Champions League this week.

I’ve certainly not heard the manager or anyone on the board have a moan about budgets or any other nonsense like that either.

All the chat is how we have let ourselves don on the pitch with poor finishing not off it, with poor finances (in comparison to our European rivals).

So what then, prompted this utterly bizarre comment from Hugh Keevins about Celtic?

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “Without doubt, I am absolutely fed up hearing excuses from Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, whoever it may be.

I mean, when Celtic play Hibs tomorrow, Celtic’s budget will be far superior to Hibs. When Motherwell play Rangers on Sunday Motherwell’s budget will be a fraction of what Rangers get.

So, on that basis then Motherwell should lose to Rangers and Hibs should lose the Celtic. But from this distance, you can absolutely guarantee that is the case.

I just think because this season has been so desperate, Celtic Rangers fans are pointing in every direction other than at themselves.”

In what way have the Celtic fans pointed at every direction Hugh?

As far as I could hear from the show, it was only Rangers fans crying about budgets. It was Gio that moaned about budgets after his side got skelped 4-0 at Ajax.

Celtic fans and Ange Postecoglou? We have looked at ourselves and the failings of the teams ability to take chances.

Not a single word has been uttered about the financial gap of our club and the rest of Europe.

All that chat has come from the Govan side and their wee cousins from Edinburgh.

An absolute red neck from Keevins.
