Mark Guidi hilarious live radio Celtic gaffe

Ah you can’t beat a bit of revisionism can you?

Especially when it comes to Rangers.

The Ibrox side made the Champions League group stages with a good away win over PSV and as they were drawn against Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax, journalist Mark Guidi was hailing the job that Giovanni van Bronckhorst has done at Ibrox since taking over from Steven Gerrard.

Guidi claims that GvB has not received the credit he deserves as he went on a wee rant about the Ibrox gaffer on The Go Radio Football Show, “So when you think of what van Bronckhorst has done and the European final, a penalty kick away from one a European trophy.

Okay, they got a spanking at Celtic Park , the 3-0 one, but he learned from it because he’s not lost to Celtic since.

So you look at all the things that he’s achieved. He’s a top manager. A top manager.”

Ok, who want’s to tell him first?

I will then. Did we just forget about the 2-1 win at Ibrox that effectively sealed the title back in April?

Did we also forget that out of five trophies, Gio won just one?

The Scottish Cup was the only trophy they wanted to go for as the league didn’t matter last season though.

So whilst getting to the Europa League Final was a good achievement, let’s not get carried away.

Oh wait……
