John Hartson makes bold Morelos future claim

Ibrox at Broomloan Road

Wee Alfie.

I hope he never leaves Rangers because without him, the Banter Years just wouldn’t be the same.

I mean, who else misses a clubs vital Champions League qualifier two years in a row and gets away with it?

Who else is the subject of a ‘hit’ when all that happened was his wife hired a private detective to track him because she didn’t trust him?

And let’s not forget he hold the record for a Rangers player with the most red cards in their history.

So his career should be over right?

Nah.

Not according to John Hartson.

When asked on The Go Radio Football Show if Morelos still has a future at Ibrox, Hartson (rather surprisingly) said, “I do. I still think he’s got a part to play what he needs to do is he needs to go away and take this as a positive thing that he’s been told by his manager.

Of course he’ll be devastated right now having been left out of the squad. He’s Rangers best striker.

There’s no doubt about that. He’s got 113 goals for Rangers, and he’s somebody who can certainly make a difference.”

Well he certainly has made a difference to my life.

Without wee Alfie, we wouldn’t have had as many laughs in the last five years so I say extend his contract.

  1. If it’s true that after all this time he still hasn’t bothered to learn English I wouldn’t be surprised if Tavpen et al have told wee Gio that Alf is persona non grata as far as the rest of the team are concerned. Sevco are going to be desperate to offload him now, if any club is actually stupid enough to want to take a risk on him then now is the time ’cause he ain’t costing Dembele dollars no more!
