Celtic’s transfer business is generally completed with a hint of mystery about it.
Nothing is given away by Ange even when speculation surrounding the club is rife.
But today in his pre match press conference, Postecoglou was asked if there was any update on the signing of Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The Celtic manager said, “Nothing’s really changed. We’re in discussions with them obviously.
“As I’ve said all along with these kinds of things, it’s not a simple, never a simple process but both lads have had unbelievable years for us.
“They’ve both been outstanding contributors.
“Both are really happy here.
“Our intent is to try and keep them at our football club but as with all these things we need a point where all parties agree and I’m hopefully we’ll get to that point but we’re not quite there yet.”
Let’s hope that the Celtic boss can convince both to sign on next season and hopefully the lure of Champions League football will help make that more of a reality.
