I’m not sure if I agree with the accusation of racism against Tom here but there is certainly an element of bitterness when it comes to the comment he made about young Hoops star Rocco Vata.
During yesterdays B Team clash against the *Rangers youngsters, the commentator had a sly dig at young Rocco Vata as he stepped up to take a penalty. Have a watch:
Now, it all seems innocent enough but consider this. The game was on Rangers TV, he knew the gallery he was playing to and he KNEW what sort of bigoted reaction this would cause amongst the hordes of Govan.
Racist? Not for me.
Certainly a cheap shot at a young Celtic star trying to make his way in the game and considering that fan bases track record, he is now a target for them because of this idiotic comment.
