“Cowardly reporting” – Celtic fans react as journalist fails to call out Sevco fan violence

Main stand and Jock Stein Stand, Celtic Park

I heard about this story over the weekend and because I couldn’t prove it actually happened, I left it alone.

But now it seems that Rangers supporting thugs planned a targeted attack on spectators at a Motherwell ladies match where the crowd was mostly made up of young families.

The report was tweeted out:

With no mention of the fans responsible when it is clear what fanbase carried out the attack from the description given by an eyewitness, “It was my first women’s match in over 50 years following the club and this happens.

“I’m not coming to the home match v Rangers despite being a season ticket holder. Too old to run.”

Very clear, yet the journalist responsible strangely refused to name the club the supporters are associated with.

These Celtic fans did, and called him out on his shocking report:

Shameful reporting.

  1. If you go on Twitter and read the full article it says and I quote “police attended a call at Fir Park at about 5pm and after enquiries no criminality took place”. Police Scotland speak for “get in there boys you’re doing us all proud”. The likelihood is the police couldn’t be bothered to investigate it, my only surprise is the cops didn’t give them an escort to the game and then give them handers. It’s time that club was sanctioned and the only way they’ll understand is to threaten them with total expulsion from the league. We know though that won’t happen as the Scottish government, the police and the law courts are full of their supporters and it’s that ingrained in their DNA they don’t see it as anything other than their birthright. Catholics and Irish people even the Protestant one’s who fled the potato famine have been made to feel like shit on their shoes since they landed here and the mutants that follow the Ipox club think everything they do is normal.
